This estate was conceived as an homage to the early 1900’s English Arts and Crafts Country homes of Sir Edwin Lutyens and the gardens of Gertrude Jeckyl.
Emphasizing its balanced asymmetry, this home juxtaposes semi-formality with easy family living; tucking a formal dining room into a garden while having its Living Room and Kitchen strategically folded out of view from each other but connecting at right angles via a vibrant glassy breakfast room and screened porch elbow. In contrast to its formal classical entry, the curved secondary stair effortlessly floats in a stacked glassy tower.
The lush grounds feature stone and lawn terraces, a stepped- away pool terrace, a pool house with a dance floor on the roof, and at its apex has a primary bedroom terrace with an outdoor shower and fireplace.
“I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANDREW FOR YOUR NEW HOME OR FOR A FRESH IDEA FOR YOUR OLD HOME.”
I found Andrew’s services to be exciting and, at the same time, very personal. He was able to put to paper the abstract ideas floating in my mind. Charming and unique are bywords for Andrew’s designs.
